In July we received a bill from PG&E for our True Up Bill for $1095.16 for the complete years usage. This came as surprise to us that we owed PG&E, therefore we called both Vivant and PG&E.

We were told that if we go over our solar that we pull electric from PG&E (at a tiered rate).Yes, you are right I did save money, but it is not the amount of 80% savings I was promised. I asked how come our usage wasn’t evaluated like they said and add more panels.

They said they do not add extra panels and they would stick me on a list. This did not make sense to me because what was initially promised to me prior to installation.

Reason of review: Not enough panels. .

Vivint is sorry that there was a miscommunication between you and the sales representative. Vivint Solar tries to save people between 20 and 40% on their electric bills. There might have been some confusion in this situation as the solar panel system is designed to produce 80% of the customer’s electrical usage. If there are any questions involving savings, we encourage our customers to contact billing@vivintsolar.com or 1-877-404-4129 to speak with our billing team who are trained to determine the total savings customers receive.
