Failure to resolve billing error

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have made several calls over several months to correct a billing discrepancy that occurred in summer 2020. From 19 July 2020 through 5 November 2020 my solar panels were not producing. I over paid $114.24 for the service months of August and October 2020. A technician come to my home in November 2020 to repair my production unit and service restarted 5 November 2020. I have explained this several times to several people in your company with no real resolution. On the February 2021 bill, a credit of $45.82 was applied to my account, but that leaves a balance due to me of $68.42 that has not been resolved. The panels were not producing, and I have my electric bills for the months in question to prove it.

My solar panel was damaged by the thunderstorm. It took me time before I was able to talk to the customer service. I am still waiting for their response.

Worst, most fraudulent company EVER!

They scammed my elderly Mother (who had dementia, so really theres not a valid contract, even if I could find one!) Bills never decreased, equipment is often faulty, techs out multiple times to correct system, took forever to get approved to start up at the beginning, non-existent customer service (literally hours on the phone, emailing, etc to no avail.) They expect heirs to take over contract even though not living on or owning the property. For more info look at Vivint/Sunrun Solar Victims FB page. Nightmare after nightmare

Roof leaked due to solar panel installers

Solar panel installers cracked a cement roof tile in half while installing the solar panels and didn't fix or report. Cracked tile was directly under solar panel which fit low to roof and impossible to break in any other way.

Consequently roof leaked into roof and has damaged window area inside house. This area will need to be replaced.

When reported to Vivint, solar panels were removed so our contractor could troubleshoot and fix. Broken tile found and replaced, however roof still leaks when water tested. Vivint is claiming "not their fault" and will not cover costs.

If I had known how much damage this would cause, I would never have agreed to solar panel installation.

The savings on utility bill are not worth the cost to having to replace your roof due to their shoddy solar panel installation.

I recommend that you think carefully before agreeing to have Vivint (SunRun?) install panels on your roof. I feel like we've been "bait and switched".

I feel misled and taking advantage of

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was approved for solar. I asked the company if I should get a new roof first because it was 18 years old.

He said they would never put a solar system on a roof if it was not good. I was told that my roof and attic were fine and that the solar would protect my roof. 2 years later my roof has damage and is leaking. Come to find out that my attic had no ventilation and the weight of the solar panels caused my roof to leak more or less.

They would take no responsibility. Then they try to charge me $4595.00 to remove, store, and reinstall after new roof. I just kept calling a complaining because the original sales person said if that ever happened the company would work with me. Uh that isn't working with me.

I did finally get a 20% discount. Their customer service is terrible. They just keep transferring you to someone else. Trying to get a supervisor is almost impossible.

They tell you that a supervisor will call you, but they never do. They recently overcharge me and charged the wrong account even though I preset up this. Still trying to get reimbursed. They said to get out of the contract it would cost me $25,748.56.

Now I actually think my solar rate is higher than the electric company's rate. UGH! So upset.

I could go on and on. Please beware!

Preferred solution: Since the solar panels are already off my roof, I would like to be let out of my contract. I do not trust your company and really do not want to put solar back on now after all this.

User's recommendation: Please beware of their ironclad contracts.

SYSTEM NOT WORKING, NO REBATE RECEIVED, BEING DOUBLE BILLED

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am trying to reach someone who can help me resolve my issues with Vivint solar

All other avenues that I have tried have failed and I am getting EXTREMELY upset with Vivint.

My solar panels were installed and activated close to 4 months ago. It worked for maybe a few weeks before it stopped.

Vivint scheduled 3 appointments to come and troubleshoot before they actually showed up.

Each time they failed to show I had to call them again to reschedule..UNACCEPTABLE!

They finally showed up I was sent an email told it had been activated but it is STILL NOT WORKING!

Each time I have to call customer service I am transferred around until someone pretends to help me.

On top of that, my contract stated I would receive a $3K rebate 45 days after install- as of today I have not received it.

Meanwhile I am having to pay double electrical bills, with the promise of a credit once it is activated.but the system has yet to work.

Vivint is stealing my money and if I do not get a resolution quickly I will be contacting a lawyer.

Not removing solar panels

My roof is leaking water into my house and they made me pay $95 per panel (6) plus a fixed rate of $320 totaling $890 before they would schedule an appointment for the removal. I paid this fee on 7/15 and as of today 7/21/21 there's no appointment made or any contact from them. I'm contacting my c/c company and putting in a dispute until they get this resolved. Furthermore I have contractors lined up to replace the roof and cannot move forward. replace/repair the roof replaced resolved. Furthermor

HORRIBLE - THE INITIAL EXPERIENCE WITH SALESPERSON WAS GREAT. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS. BUT HE HAS SINCE LEFT THE COMPANY AND I CAN CERTAINLY SEE WHY. THEN VIVINT WAS BOUGHT OUT BY SUNRUN. THINGS QUICKLY WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE THE $3K REBATE THAT WAS PART OF THE CONTRACT WAS NEVER RECEIVED. SO I HAVE BEEN CALLING AND EMAILING. CUSTOMER CARE IS BEING HANDLED OUT OF THE COUNTRY WHICH DOES NOT HELP. I HAVE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO RESOLVE.... ON TOP OF THAT THE SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING AFTER A MONTH. ONCE AGAIN TRYING TO GET RESOLUTION WAS TIME CONSUMING. I HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES BEFORE THEY SENT SOMEONE TO CHECK IT OUT. SUPPOSEDLY THAT HAS BEEN FIXED, BUT NOT SURE IF IT WORKING YET AS IT HAS BEEN CLOUDY. I AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD...AGAIN.

Poor service

Our panels are installed but not connected to the meter. The power company came to connect the cable to the meter but vivint solar techs did not drill *** through the wall and run the cable through. The power company said they dont do that part due to liability issues. They said that vivint needs to submit a WORK WITH ORDER so when vivint comes to drill the hole and run the cable through they (the power company) can be here at the same time and connect it to the meter and turn on the panels. Permission from the power company has already been granted. These panels have been installed on my roof since MAY 20, 2020. WERE PAYING 2 DIFFERENT BILLS FOR THE POWER AND PANELS. Please send someone to complete this job at once. We trusted you as a reputable company who keeps their word and contract. We are trying not to consider legal action but youre leaving us no choice. PLEASE COME AND COMPLETE THE WORK. PLEASE.
